THE CYBERSEC CHALLENGE 2024 PRESENTS AN EXCITING TWIST IN ITS FOURTH EDITION!

This time the competition, which until now has been conducted virtually, will be held on site at Texas Tech University Campus, located in Avenida Escazú, San José Costa Rica.
To participate in this unique challenge, teams must be formed by a total of 5 people, with the suggestion to include members of different levels of experience in cybersecurity, from juniors to seniors. In addition, it is recommended that each team have a coach or mentor to guide them through the process.
This new face-to-face modality promises a unique and enriching experience for all participants, who will have the opportunity to test their skills in a dynamic and challenging environment. Don't miss the opportunity to be part of this exciting event and demonstrate your cybersecurity skills!

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Cybersec Cluster proudly presents the fourth edition of the long-awaited Cybersec Challenge 2024, a competition
designed to promote and enhance human talent in Costa Rica and throughout the Latin American region.
As a key player in the cybersecurity ecosystem Cybersec is dedicated to promoting collaboration between
different sectors, international communities and fundamental actors in this field. Our goal is to address the challenges
that the world faces in terms of cybersecurity, working together in the search for innovative solutions.

Form a
team of 5 people,
plus the
coach/mentor.

Have an age range from 17 to 25 years old. The team should be made up of juniors and seniors (experience level).

Have a
mentor or coach
to guide
the team.

Possess basic
knowledge in
cybersecurity.

Equipment (computer)
for the competition.

Have completed the
registration process
and passed the
pre-selection phase.

International teams (outside
Costa Rica) will be managed
through invitations.

CHALLENGES

In the Cybersec Challenge 2024, the dynamics of the Jeopardy-style competition would involve the following:


Categories and Challenges:

different categories are established covering various areas of cybersecurity, such as cryptography, forensics, vulnerability exploitation, among others.

Each category contains challenges of different levels of difficulty, ranging from beginner to advanced.

Scoring:

Each challenge is assigned a score based on its difficulty. Teams accumulate points by correctly solving the challenges.

The higher the difficulty of the challenge, the higher the score obtained.

Real-time competition:

Teams compete in real time, selecting and solving challenges from the different categories.

Time and speed of resolution can also be important factors in determining the final score.

informática que pondrán a prueba su creatividad, capacidad analítica y destreza técnica. El reto está ideado para trabajar
en equipo (2 personas), resolviendo problemas en tiempo real y desarrollando soluciones innovadoras para proteger
sistemas y datos.

Cybersec Challenge 2024 te brindará la oportunidad de aprender de expertos en ciberseguridad, participar en talleres y
conferencias informativas, y establecer contactos con profesionales de la industria. Es una plataforma perfecta para ampliar
conocimientos, adquirir experiencia práctica y establecer conexiones valiosas en el campo de la ciberseguridad.
